What you may feel
In the first hours and days you may have hazy or fluctuating vision, light sensitivity, a gritty feeling and halos or glare around lights, especially at night. These symptoms usually ease gradually.
When you get home
- Do not drive after surgery; go straight home and rest.
- Keep the dressing or shield on until the time indicated, usually until the next morning.
- Start your medication as prescribed.
- Sleep with the eye shield for the first week, or for the period indicated.
AN APPOINTMENT IN THE FIRST DAYS
Eye pressure is checked within the first hours or on the next day. After that, the lens and the corneal cells are monitored regularly, usually once a year, even if you see well.
Medication after surgery
Medication usually includes antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops for a few weeks, gradually reduced. Fill in or check the table before printing.
